Yvonne V. Hilyard Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who
Ms. Hilyard, a supportive and accommodating educator, received a Teacher of the Year award nomination

HOLYOKE, MA, September 9, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Yvonne Hilyard, Science Teacher at Morgan School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.

Ms. Hilyard shines as a teacher who helps to bring out the best in her students. Now in her third year at Morgan School, she teaches basic chemistry and physical science concepts to eighth-grade students and further educates them through laboratory and data analysis. She directs the school's science club and enters it in science fairs and competitions. In addition, she coaches the school's volleyball team. With strengths in student communications and science education, Ms. Hilyard was nominated for a Teacher of the Year award.

Ms. Hilyard holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education, both from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She attributes her success to her positive upbringing and background in education. She became involved in her profession because she always liked helping others and wanted to improve the quality of her community's educational system. In the near future, Ms. Hilyard plans to attain a doctoral degree.
