Linda Sukup Named VIP of the Year for Demonstrating Excellence in General Education
Ms. Sukup's professional success during the past 35 years derives from her persistence and passion for learning

MILWAUKEE, WI, September 12, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda Sukup, Teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in general education. In addition to naming Ms. Sukup a VIP member for 2011-2012, Cambridge honored her as an Industry Expert in 2010, and in 2009 selected her for inclusion in the Cambridge Calendar Series.

A committed educator with nearly four decades of teaching experience, Ms. Sukup has spent the last 11 years of her career with Milwaukee Public Schools, where she teaches a class of first-grade students. She feels most gratified by her career when witnessing the successes of her students, and credits her own success to her persistence and passion for learning. A graduate of Cardinal Stritch University, she holds master's degrees in reading/language arts and educational leadership. Previously, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in education from Alverno College.

Ms. Sukup's ability to provide quality education was elevated upon her receipt of additional industry-related credentials and professional distinctions. She has a 10 director of curriculum license, 51 principal license, an unlimited teacher (K-12) license, and a reading teacher and specialist license.

In addition to helping her students succeed, Ms. Sukup is active in Girl Scouting and model railroading activities. She holds memberships in Trainfest, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, and the National Model Railroad Association. She was formerly president of the Milwaukee Road Historical Association and superintendent of the Wisconsin Southeast Division of the National Model Railroad Association.
