Dr. Kathleen Farrell Recognized for Excellence in Health Care Education
Dr. Kathleen Farrell conducts research on chronic illness management, informatics and nursing education

MURRAY, KY, September 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Kathleen Farrell, Associate Professor at Murray State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care education.

With more than three decades of experience in the health care field, Ms. Farrell possesses expertise in critical care and adult health. For the past 14 years, she has been serving the nursing faculty at Murray State University. Currently an Associate Professor, her position entails teaching students and conducting research on chronic illness management, informatics and nursing education. Dr. Farrell attributes her success to her hard work, dedication, and passion for her profession.

In 2003, Dr. Farrell earned a Doctor of Nursing Science in adult health and chronic care from the University of Tennessee. She is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse, certified acute care nurse practitioner, and critical care clinical nurse specialist. Her professional affiliations include the American Nurses Association, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, Southern Nursing Research Society, National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, Society of Clinical Nurse Specialist Education, and Sigma Theta Tau International. In the near future, Ms. Farrell aspires to publish books and articles, as well as become a full professor.
