Linda Hill-D'Ascanio selected for inclusion in Cambridge Publishing's "Industry Experts" book

LONDON, ONTARIO, CANADA, August 29, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda Hill-D'Ascanio, RN, MN, Professor at Fanshawe College and the University of Western Ontario, was recently featured in Cambridge Publishing's Top 101 Industry Experts book. A veteran nurse, Ms. Hill-D'Ascanio draws on a wealth of practical experience in teaching her students in the lab and clinical settings at Fanshawe College and the University of Western Ontario. Specializing in orthopaedics, she previously lent her talents to London Health Sciences Centre as a registered nurse and in the advanced practice nurse role. She now imparts to students the knowledge she gleaned from 23 years in nursing, such as the oversight of an orthopaedics department, the management of pre-admissions, pre-operative orders and pre- and post-operative rounds, the writing of orders pertaining to treatment and medication, and the dictation of patients' discharge summaries. Respected by her peers, Ms. Hill-D'Ascanio was invited as a guest speaker by the University of Western Ontario.

Ms. Hill-D'Ascanio, who holds a Master of Nursing/Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree, is a member of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario, the Nurse Practitioners' Association of Ontario, and the Iota Omicron chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, among many other professional organizations. She attributes her success to the depth of her professional experience, the high standards she imposes on herself, and the exposure she has had to positive professional people.
