Cambridge Who's Who Names Latrice N. Hicks, Educator Professional of the Year in School Administration
Latrice Hicks strives to keep children from falling through cracks in the system

WASHINGTON, DC, August 5, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Latrice N. Hicks, Head of School for Mosaica Education, Inc., has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in School Administration. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

Having worked in the court system, Dr. Hicks has seen firsthand how easily and quickly children could fall through its cracks. The experience left her with an indelible desire to prevent a similar fate from befalling other children. With education as her chosen instrument to effect change, Dr. Hicks assumed leadership of a public charter school of Mosaica Education, in 2009. She draws upon a thorough knowledge of social and academic education to facilitate the academic growth and improvement of students. Fulfilled by her work in this area, Dr. Hicks attributes her success to the support that she receives from her family and mentors.

Dr. Hicks holds a Doctor of Education and a master's degree, both from Wayne State University. She also obtained a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Michigan. Her affiliations include Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., the University of Michigan Alumni Association, the Wayne State University Alumni Association, and the European Council of International Schools.
