Connie T. New Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Teaching
Ms. New has taught with the with Morgan and Lawrence County School Systems for 29 years

Decatur, AL, July 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Connie T. New, Retired Teacher from Morgan County School System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of teaching.

Ms. New has an impressive background with 29 years of teaching experience with Morgan and Lawrence County School Systems where she was responsible for teaching kindergarten and second-grade students. Following the footsteps of her mother, who was a teacher, she decided to devote herself to teaching and gained experience working at Speake Elementary and Union Hill School. Ms. New was nominated to the Jacksonville State Teacher Hall of Fame for her outstanding services. She considers being able to teach the children of her former students to be the most fulfilling aspect of her career and credits her success to her ability to impart lifelong skills to her students.

A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Ms. New earned her Master of Science in Early Childhood Development and her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She was on the board of directors and served as the secretary for Morgan County Educational Association. She is a member of the Alabama Education Association and the National Education Association.
