BREWSTER, NY, June 25, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Winston Long has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of his remarkable professional career. As CEO, CFO, and Lead Trainer of T.O.O.L.S Training Associates LLC, as well as throughout his brilliant career, Mr. Long has consistently displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
T.O.O.L.S Training Associates LLC is a company which provides professional staff development for residential programs servicing youth and adults; psychiatric hospitals; and special needs camps. Their mission is to develop customized training that prepares Organizational Leadership, Culture, Staff, Consumers (Youth and Adults) and Families, for "The Ever-Changing Rules of Engagement" that exist in today's Educational and Human Service Industries.
Winston has over 39 years of experience in human services. He served as a Neighborhood Youth Worker for the Catholic Archdiocese in Chicago. Mr. Long worked as a Psychiatric Hospital Direct Care Worker while majoring in math at Lakeland College. He served as a Child Care Worker for two residential treatment centers in Upstate New York for a combined 29 years filling the roles of a Senior Worker, Child Care Supervisor, Director of Child Care and Director of Campus Life for the entire agency. In addition, Winston has served as the Coordinator of Professional Staff Development for Abbott House, a residential Treatment Center located in Irvington, New York, for the past 7 years.
During his collegiate career, Winston earned a Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Stony Brook University. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Hudson Coalition, Training Director's Group of New York City and District, and the V Forum Committee Training Consortium of Westchester County. In 2008, Mr. Long was awarded The New York State Child Welfare Fund's Best Practice Award.
