Dr. Robert Wilson Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Higher Education
Dr. Wilson's appreciation for education began during his service as an infantryman in the U.S. Army
THE VILLAGES, FL, November 9, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert O. Wilson, Retired Professor of Georgia State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education. He has received the designation of Elite American Educator.
Dr. Wilson dropped out of high school during World War II and enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps at the age of 16. After undergoing basic military training, he realized the correlation between teaching and training. He remained in the Army Reserve while attending college and returned to active duty as an infantry officer, retiring as a Colonel 0-6. At Georgia State University, he taught in the college of business, utilizing mathematics models to teach students how to make decisions in business.
After overcoming the many challenges he faced in his early years through hard work and dedication, Dr. Wilson was proud to earn a Doctor of Business Administration from Georgia State University in 1971. He is also proud of his military service, and retains membership to VFW.
