Patricia T. Summers Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Patricia T. Summers has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding effort in the community.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, October 9, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Patricia T. Summers has been accepted among the prestigious ranks of Stanford Who's Who as a result of her outstanding effort in the community. As a volunteer and founding member of the National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) - Orange County and Los Angeles, she serves as the co-chair of the Board of Directors. Throughout her brilliant career, Patricia has routinely displayed the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be considered among the best.
The National Association of Asian American Professionals is a nonprofit professional organization that cultivates, supports, and promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals in all fields through networking, professional development, mentoring, respecting Asian multiculturalism, and supporting diversity and community service. They currently have over 25 chapters, ventures, and affiliates across the United States and Canada and a growing North American membership of over 3,000.
In addition to volunteering the teaching of Systems Engineering and Project Management with the local NAAAP chapters, Patricia has participated as a professional development speaker at the annual NAAAP National Convention for the past 7 years. Patricia has extensive experience leading both software and systems IPTs as a Principal Systems Engineer with Raytheon, an international defense technology company which provides state-of-the-art electronics, mission systems integration and other capabilities in the areas of sensing; effects; and command, control, communications and intelligence systems, as well as a broad range of mission support services. She was appointed the site coordinator for the 2007 CMMI Level 5 multi-discipline (SW, Se, HW, PM) and multisite (5 Raytheon locations) appraisal resulting in Raytheon receiving the CMMI Level 5 Accreditation and Patricia receiving the NCS CMMI Level 5 Appraisal Team Award.
During her collegiate career, Patricia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was the recipient of the Achievement Award from Raytheon in 2009 for leading the planning and conducting of the 2009 Fullerton Regional Diversity Summit. Patricia was also the recipient of the Achievement Award and Recognition for SDIC support from NCS for 10 years of volunteering to lead and support Diversity and Inclusion in Fullerton. In addition, she received the 2008 NCS Operations Excellence Award, and the 2002 Raytheon One Company Incentive Award.
