Mattie G. Woods Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
Mattie G. Woods received a master's degree in English education

HAWKINSVILLE, GA, September 1, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mattie G. Woods, Teacher for Pulaski County Schools' Hawkinsville High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in secondary education.

At Hawkinsville High School, Ms. Woods is responsible for presiding over the English department and teaching students. She also serves on the leadership team and instructing children in the decision-making process; making them aware of consequences. With 20 years of experience in her field, she attributes her success to her faith in God and her desire to make a difference.

In 1996, Ms. Woods received an Educational Specialist Degree from Troy State University. She also earned a Master's Degree in English Education. Certified as a teacher support specialist and an AP instructor, she is a member of NCTE, ASCD, the Georgia Association of Educators and the National Education Association. In the future, Ms. Woods hopes to become a curriculum designer, in order to help teachers design lessons that engage students' attention.
