Leah M. Hoffman Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Leah M. Hoffman celebrates 24 years in teaching
EVANSVILLE, IN, September 1, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Leah M. Hoffman, Lead Teacher of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in science.
With 24 years of experience in teaching and now involved as a Lead Teacher of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp., Leah M. Hoffman is responsible for preparing lesson plans, grading students, demonstrating experiments, participating in the Indiana Science Initiative's pilot program, and training other teachers in hands-on science curriculum. Ms. Hoffman has conducted a presentation on utilizing student notebooking along with literature in science instruction at the Hoosier Association of Science Teachers, Inc. convention in 2010. She became involved in her profession through her experience in special education, and she attributes her success to her passion for science, her desire to work with students, and the inspiration of her mentor Deborah Vannetter.
Ms. Hoffman received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from the University of Evansville in 1985. In addition to her formal education, she is a certified elementary teacher. She is a member of the Hoosier Association of Science Teachers, Inc.
