Janis Robinson Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Janis Robinson has fulfilled her lifelong desire of attaining a career in education

DELMAR, MD, September 7, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janis Robinson, Library Media Specialist for Wicomico County Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in library science.

Utilizing years of professional experience, Ms. Robinson has served as a library media specialist in the Wicomico County Public Schools for 39 years. Specializing in library education and secondary administration, she oversees library operations, consults with teachers and students, and aids in finding any piece of information needed. She also assists students in using online informational databases and the electronic catalog to find information and books needed for projects. She has watched the library world change drastically over the past 40 years, from typewriters and card catalogs to all electronic media.

Ms. Robinson received her Master's Degree in Educational Supervision from Salisbury University in 1995 and her Bachelor of Science in Library Science from Clarion University in 1971. A member of the American Library Association, she has attained a certification in library science (5-12), in French and in Secondary Administration. Due to her hard work, she was nominated for a Teacher of the Year Award. As she is planning to retire this year, she is hoping to become a great point-of-contact for students and college graduates looking to go into this field of work.
