Gayle Hendershot received a bachelor's degree in special education from SUNY Geneseo
NEWARK, NY, September 8, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gayle Hendershot, Teacher at the Newark Central School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With 32 years of experience in her field, Ms. Hendershot's expertise is in vocational program management and special education. At the Newark Central School District, she instructs students with special needs between the ages of 14 and 21. She also conducts vocational programs. Formerly, Ms. Hendershot worked at the Newark Middle School and as an infant development teacher for Wayne ARC.
Ms. Hendershot became involved in her profession after working with the Special Olympics and gaining an interest in teaching students with special needs. She prides herself on her ability to work well with all types of people and lends her success to her flexibility.
In 1979, Ms. Hendershot graduated from SUNY Geneseo, where she received a bachelor's degree in special education. She later earned a master's degree in early childhood development from Nazareth College in Rochester. She volunteers her free time to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Canandaigua, NY.
