MIAMI, FL, September 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Francisco Jimenez, Principal of Doral Academy Preparatory School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Principal of Doral Academy Preparatory School, Mr. Jimenez specializes in curriculum design and school administration. He manages a multimillion school budget, supervises over 100 employees and students sixth- through 12th-grade. He ensures state standards are met, evaluates teachers and conducts meetings with parents. He attributes his success to his persistence and passion for his profession.

Mr. Jimenez received his Master of Science in Educational Leadership (2002) and Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Physics (1998), both from Barry University. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctorate in Higher Education at Nova Southeastern University. He is a notary public and certified clinical education trainer who serves as the vice president on the Board of Directors of Doral Academy Preparatory School and is a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals. In the future, he intends to attain a superintendent position.

Doral Academy Preparatory School opened in the fall of 2001 and graduated its first senior class in spring 2004. The school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and holds memberships in the College Board, The National Association of Secondary School principals and the Association of Secondary Curriculum Development. In 2009, 98 percent of its graduates matriculated to two year colleges and/or four year higher education institutions, two percent selected work, military or vocational institutions and the class received over $1.3 million in scholarships and grants.
