Stephanie Burkhard to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Stephanie Burkhard changes lives one at a time

SAN MARCOS, CA, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stephanie Burkhard, Instructional Aide for San Marcos Unified School District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in social skills development.

As an instructional aide, Ms. Burkhard teaches anger management, friendship and social skills to kindergarten-through fifth-grade students with disabilities. She has a background in counseling and special education. In 1981, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies, with a minor in Counseling, from the University of Missouri. She also attended Reading University in England as an exchange student. Ms. Burkhard received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department in 2000. She is a member of the California School Employees Association. In five years, she hopes to pursue a master of arts degree and create more awareness to empower socially challenged children.
