Roxie Thompson Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Roxie Thompson's passion enables her to thrive as an ESL teacher for Garden City Public Schools

GARDEN CITY, KS, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Roxie Thompson, English as a Second Language Teacher for Garden City Public Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

As an ESL Teacher for Garden City Public Schools, Roxie Thompson is responsible for teaching kindergarten through fourth-grade students, working with staff members, planning lessons for individual learning needs, and training English as a Second Language teachers at the university level. She became involved in her profession through the influence of her parents, and she attributes her success to her passion for her profession and passion for working with children.

Ms. Thompson received a Master's Degree in Reading and Curriculum from Kansas State University in 1984, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with a minor in Speech Pathology from Wichita State University in 1968. She holds English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement (1990) and Reading Specialist Endorsement (1982). She is a member of the National Education Association.
