Jacqueline Craigo Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Jacqueline Craigo was a long time member of the National and Ohio Councils of Teachers of Mathematics.
MOUNT VERNON, OH, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Jacqueline Craigo, Partner of Paul's Flowers, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in floral design.
At Paul's Flowers, Ms. Craigo creates floral designs, manages employees, and handles marketing, hiring and training. She oversees bookkeeping, reviews quarterly reports, and coordinates computer systems for managing sales and orders. She has additional experience as a flower show entrant and judge and has provided information about business, weddings, holidays and other topics related to the floral industry for published feature articles. She hopes to publish articles on plants, concerning their aesthetics and their contribution to our quality of life.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Craigo taught high school mathematics for 27 years. She was one of Ohio's first teachers to use graphic calculators for enhancement of the understanding of mathematics. She studied use of the graphic calculators under Mathematics Professors Bert Waits and Frank Demana while at The Ohio State University. Ms. Craigo often presented programs on the use of graphic calculators for other teachers at Regional, State and National Meetings.
Qualified to teach secondary education, Ms. Craigo received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education with a Major in Mathematics and a Minor in Chemistry from Kent State University, OH (1959) and a Master of Arts Degree in Mathematics Education from The Ohio State University (1992). She was an active member and presenter of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and of the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She had also belonged to the MAA. In the future, Ms. Craigo intends to continue supporting mathematical research groups.
Ms. Craigo is a member of First Presbyterian Church and Delta Gamma Fraternity as well as a business member of FTD, Teleflora and the Society of American Florists. As a member of Psi Iota Xi she delivered Meals on Wheels for 20 years and did vision and hearing screening of school children.
