Professional Geraldine A. Fiss, Ph.D to be Profiled in 2009 Registry
Altadena, CA, July 2, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Geraldine A. Fiss, Ph.D., Graduate of Harvard University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence.
Dr. Fiss' area of expertise is modern Chinese literature as well as comparative literary and cultural studies. In her current research she traces the reception, transformation and recreation of foreign ideas and texts by modern Chinese writers. She is currently seeking a position as assistant professor of Comparative Literature or East Asian Studies at a university in southern California. She is fluent in English, German, French, Swedish, Chinese and Japanese and began her studies of Chinese in Singapore, where she grew up. Dr. Fiss attributes all her success to her family and her education.
Dr. Fiss received her Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University in 2008. In 1997, she received her Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Languages and Literatures from Smith College. She is a member of the American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA), The Association for Asian Studies (ASA), the Modern Language Association (MLA), the Harvard Alumni Association and the Smith College Alumnae Association.
