Laurie Zakarian Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
She is one of nine recipients of the 2004 Rachel Carson Award.


/Education News Articles/ - McKinney, TX, June 19, 2008, Laurie Zakarian, Pre-School Curriculum and Resource Coordinator for First Baptist Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.

With 30 years of a variety of educational experiences in public elementary and middle school education, Ms. Zakarian's expertise is in the differentiated classroom and developing curriculum from early childhood education through eighth grade education. She has been the pre-school Curriculum and Resource Coordinator for First Baptist Church for the 2007-2008 school year and will continue in that position. Ms. Zakarian attributes her success to her love for working with others, her ability to fulfill the needs of programs, analyzing and problem solving skills, and the support she receives from her family and colleagues.

Ms. Zakarian received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from California State University at Northridge. She is one of nine recipients of the 2004 Rachel Carson Award for integrating and encouraging science and mathematics for fourth and fifth grade girls within classroom curriculum.
