Ms. Runyan has 33 years of experience in education. As a first and second grade teacher for House Municipal Schools, her expertise is in early childhood education and conducting workshops; additionally, she is responsible for coaching the track and basketball teams. With many notable achievements to her credit, she has been featured in Country Extra Magazine. She is the director of the annual Christmas Musical Program at the school and coordinates children's musicals at church. She attributes her success to her love for her profession. Her experiences as a Sunday school teacher inspired her to pursue teaching as a full-time occupation.

Ms. Runyan received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Plus 45, from Eastern New Mexico University. She was awarded the Conservation Teacher of the Year Award and was a nominee for the New Mexico Woman of the Year Award.
